Mark your calendars! The Fairfax County History Commission, Fairfax Museum & Visitor Center, Fairfax County Park Authority and Preservation Virginia’s Northern Branch will be hosting their 7th Annual Fairfax County History Conference:
“The Civil War Comes to Fairfax County!”
When: Saturday, November 12, 2011; 8:30am – 4:00pm Where: Stacy C. Sherwood Community Center, Fairfax, Virginia Cost for the day: $20.00**Includes breakfast & lunch served & catered by the excellent Annandale High School’s Culinary Department.
Local Authors will be selling books and local history organizations will be sharing their exhibits. Fairfax County BOS Chairman, Sharon Bulova will kick-off the conference & present a variety of awards to county historians and historical groups. Many of the foremost local Civil War Historians will be presenting on a variety of topics:
