Manassas Campus

Many immigrants in our area have substantial educational credentials from their home countries, but are unsure about how to make this education work for them here.  Some believe they have to “start over” in order to qualify for college or university admission or for employment in their field.

On December 10, NOVA will be presenting Making Your Foreign Education Count in the U.S. on both the Annandale and Manassas campuses of NOVA.

In this FREE program, staff from NOVA’s academic and ESL programs will talk about how the college can help qualified students gain language skills and move toward degree-seeking programs.  A representative from WES (World Education Services) will advise  how to obtain documentation that equates foreign education with US equivalents.  Following the program, handouts and counseling will be available.

Northern Virginia Community College will present this program in collaboration with WES and with CCCIE (Community College Consortium for Immigrant Education).
